What is the Scope for pilot jobs in the future..?

  • Answer:

The future looks quite good for pilots but as has always been true, it will be good for experienced pilots and a struggle for fresh flight school graduates. The traditional method of accruing experience is by flying in the "general aviation" sector after graduating from flight school. "General aviation" is a term that refers to flying that is not military or airline in nature. It includes personal flying, flight training, sight-seeing, private charter, agricultural flying, corporate aviation, sky diving, banner towing, and all other types of flying that do not involve scheduled airline flights or military aircraft. These are the types of jobs where pilots can gain enough experience to be considered being hired by the major airlines. Unfortunately, in a country such as India (and many countries around the world) , there is very little general aviation activity so there are very limited opportunities for pilots to gain experience after flight school. What this means is that there will always be a high number of flight school graduates in India who cannot find jobs because the supply of pilots is higher than the demand for them in general aviation. There are currently about 2,000 to 3,000 unemployed flight school graduates in India because there are no jobs for them, and it is very difficult to find "time building" jobs in other countries. If you want to increase your chances, in addition to earning a commercial pilot license you should plan on obtaining additional certification as a flight instructor. working as an assistant instructor at a flight school is the best opportunity for "freshers" looking for flying jobs in India and the rest of Asia.

If you're worried about job prospects, I'm sure that there will be a constant need for pilots as long as air transportation remains an active industry. Commercial pilots by the way typically earn between $29,217 - $139,108 .
