Are you using Chrome browser? If yes, the default settings allow websites to control the mouse. That can (and should) be turned off. What browser are you using? ------------ As far as the movie file: What format is it? (.wmv, MP4, .mov); and is it playing in a browser window? Whatever one it is, make sure your 'default' player is selected for the one most appropriate, or the one that works better on your system. Some large files, like a movie, must be downloaded first; or they at least must get a good deal of it started ('buffered') before it plays. Interrupting it may only make things worse. Make sure to clear the cache, and any 'Downloads' files related to that, then restart it.
