In order to be a psychologist, you will need a Ph.D (12 years in college) and 1-2 years of postgraduate training. Because GPA is important when applying to grad school, I'd recommend minoring in statistics since less courses are required for a minor. This will not only save you stress, but you will have a more flexible schedule to work with. A double major is very difficult and not something you want to do if you're serious about earning a Ph.D in psychology. So instead, I'd recommend you just minor in stats.

Both of those are really intense and heavy workload majors. Your gen eds will obv apply to both and so will the required classes if there are any of the same ones. However it will most likely take you longer than four years to do it since not every required stat and psych class can fulfill gen eds or the classes of the other major. It's going to be very difficult but do-able.
