    That is art for art sake, I also have a Bachelors in art and I find art a extremely phony field of study - some artists are just famous because they new the right people, case in point Pollock. For art to be good the right people needs to say its good and then - instant famous art work. But to be honoust i have never found artist statements full of over wording, my problem with contemporary art lies int the fact that you need the artist statement to understand the work or you need a degree to get it, mean would you understand Malevich's white on white without studding and understanding the philosophies of modern art? If you cant see the artist meaning in the work then it is useless in my opinion. Or maybe i am just a bit of a realist but I am definitely against the idea of art for arts sake
