What exactly does a Graphic Designer do?

  • Someone told me that a Graphic Designer is.. uhm.. a good job, but what EXACTLY does it do? Does a Graphic Designer have a good salary? Is it stressful? lol Thanks for answering in ...show more

  • Answer:

Graphic design is a hard job, it's very competitive so if you aren't awesome at what you do then you won't get far. I was a Graphic design artist for the school that I went to. I basically designed flyers and posters for the school as well as any hand outs that were given out. Your specific tasks will be determined by where you work. I personally loved the job. My job didn't pay much because it was for the school and was sort of a step up type of job, it gave me an opportunity to work in my field that I was learning, but paid $5.45 an hour. I took probably three graphic design classes before getting the job. My teacher was actually the person that recommended me. It is fun but remember that it is a competitive field.
