Try to keep the eye clean for now. He should see a vet with experience with small animals like him. The pet store might know one they might not so call and ask. If they don't know call some local vets and ask them if they have experience with small rodents or know of someone who does. He should be seen as soon as you can, even if it is just irritated it can develop an infection so it should be seen by a vet. Get a clean cloth wet with warm water and clean the fur around the eye so he can open it if he wants.
