What types of exotic fish should I get?

If i have two fancy goldfish in a 37 gallon tank what is the most other fish i can get and what types.?

• i like to have colorful fish and I'm going to get lots more plants so they can hide.

  Goldfish should only be kept with similar goldfish. Tropicals have different temperature requirements and any sucking fish can cause massive injury. Each goldfish should have 20 gallons, so you are perfect with 2 fancies in that tank. I wouldn't change a thing. Perfect. Don't rock the boat. lol If you want a community tank, I would suggest getting another tank to start one. A lot of tropicals have much lower gallon requirements, so you could get a smaller tank than the one you have. I've seen many beautiful 25 gallon communities. Those are two lucky fish you have. It's really nice to see someone providing proper care. If you start a new tank, remember to cycle with one fish only (or a few tiny ones). Once cyled, add 1 fish (or a few tiny ones) every week or two so you don't bump the cycle with the increased bioload. Make sure you quarantine every new fish for at least two weeks to ensure its health before adding to the main tank. Have fun
