  • Answer:

DVD players require the film to be in a certain format. So just dumping the data file on to a blank DVD+R and finalising it won't work. It's like the wrong language. The DVD player can't understand it. Your video editing software might include some options to change the file format in to a version that is compatible with a standalone player. Have a read through the help files. If there's nothing on your computer that's going to help you then look for a DVD Authoring software package. These handle the file conversion and allow you to put together a DVD menu as well. There's plenty to choose from. Here's a link to one package, but you can search the web for alternatives http://www.effectmatrix.com/total_video_to_DVD_Author/index.htm If this or any other answer was helpful, remember to vote for a Best Answer
