I want to get a projector, and I'm looking at two, but the one I like better is only 300 lumen, versus the 2800 lumen that the other one has. What is 300 lumen like? I'm going ...show more

300 lumens means the room will have to be absolutely dark, and any image larger than about 36" will be too faded to watch. A 32 inch TV is a much better buy.

300 lumens is the output from a bright table lamp, essentially useless for projection, outside of say an opaque projector for arts and crafts. Most home or business presentation projectors will have a minimum 1200 lumen output at eight feet. your concern needs to focus on xga or better resolution, throw distance, screen size, and bulb life/cost, inputs, so on. Read up more on projection before even considering a purchase.
