How exactly do Pocket WiFi devices work?

Wifi doesnt work in any of my apple devices?

    Apple laptops come with a built-in AirPort Extreme card, which allows you to connect to any Wi-Fi network in your surrounding area as long as the AirPort feature is turned on. Depending on the type of network, you may need to enter a password before you can access the Wi-Fi network, as some networks have a Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) or a Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA/WPA2) password. Once enabled, the Wi-Fi signal will appear at the top of your screen and fluctuate in bars depending on the signal's strength.

There is a feature in most routers set by default that is meant to increase compatibility with older computes. Your security encreption (I'm guessing) is WPA/WPA2 TKIP/AES. This is 4 types of security and for some reason. Apple hates it. I recommend logging into your router and changing this to WPA2 AES. All other devices are likly using that setting already so no further configuration will likely be needed. However, if somethings else on the network does stop working, you can fix it either by changing the network name (SSID) in the router. Or deleting(of forgetting) the network from said device and reconnect.
