My hp photosmart c4780 will not print off my laptop . will scan ok. any answers please?

I would definitely check to make sure you have the absolute latest version of the drivers installed for whatever operating system you are running. When you find the product page (see below), you may also wish to see what HP says about the basic driver vs the full software for your printer. If you don't do a lot with your printer, the basic driver may in fact be enough. -A.
