Why does my computer turn off for a few seconds?

I turn my computer on and after a few seconds it turns off?

If not the cmos battery then windows is shutting down to protect itself. Most likely dead mother board

This may be caused by faulty PSU unit. Try to disconnect all devices connected to the Power Supply Unit. If pc working well with no turn offs. You may need to buy new PSU.

I don't think its the CMOS battery. Have you installed any new hardware? Does it beep at all when it starts?

Its your computers fault. Its CMOS battery may be got dead. It is replaceable. Buy a new CMOS battery. It will be a less cost. Place the CMOS battery again. Then your computer will work as fine.
