    I have a Samsung series 8000 3D HDTV which has several ways to connect my PCs. The newer laptop can use a VGA to VGA input cable, the other laptop could use a DIN video to RCA composite video and audio, the first desktop could use a mini-HDMI to HDMI, and the other desktop could use a DVI to HDMI for video, 3.5mm to 3.5mm plugs cable for audio. Since you don't say what Samsung TV you have, how you do it is now up to you. You must configure your display settings to activate the second screen (TV) and show as duplicate. You have to realize that the external screen of the laptop (the Samsung TV) will not show anything until after the bootup is complete, the splash screen is on the laptop, Windows drivers load, and you go to the desktop. Only then will the TV detect anything from HDMI.
