How to burn a video file onto a disc so it can be played on a dvd player, like the old feature in windows movie maker that was removed.?

There's also DVDFlick and DVDStyler. Unfortunately, most of the free DVD authoring programs (to make playable DVDs) are pretty basic. http://www.dvdflick.net/ or, the DVDFlick fork: http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdflick-v2/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/dvdstyler/files/dvdstyler/2.6.1/ Download the portable version. NOTE: /SourceForge is the site with some of the best free software but they now bundle adware and utitilties with their downloads. Pay attention during installation so you can opt out of the bundled stuff. If you often need to make playable DVDs, save your pennies for a decent DVD maker like Nero's. Even Ashampoo has a pretty good DVD burning program that includes authoring playable DVDs - but doesn't have the huge selection of menu templates some of the other programs have. http://www.nero.com/enu/products/nero-burning-rom/whats-new.php Ashampoo offers a free version that's supposed to burn Video-DVD. Don't you have Windows DVD maker ? If you do not ,be free to download from microsoft website . However you can burn only about 15 min of raw video with good quality . If you have problem burning it maybe you have wrong DVD ...try + instead of - and other way around . Also if you have problem burning it shut down everything and don't play any programs while is burning it . I even have to disconnect from internet and shut down antivirus in order to burn DVD .
