How long does it takes to charge a laptop battery?

Laptop is acting very very slow, unresponsive or at least takes its time, and battery doesn't keep charge.?

    Battery has no deal with speed issues. It would be great to know your hardware specifications but anyway you'd rather try system optimization software. Most likely that your fathers' system is old and full of junk files, duplicates, useless temporary ones, etc. HDD may got fragmented and Windows' registry has turned to dust bin. It's inevitable when using Windows for a long time. If it won't help then the problem concerns hardware and the best option is to take your PC to technicians.

battery doesnt have anything to do with the computers performance. Its either hardware having issues (overheating), or its just errors on the system caused by malware, etc. He can try to increase the performance by removing any unnecessary programs that use alot of resources. Reinstall to a lightweight security software(avg, avast, eset nod 32). bad example is kaspersky and bitdefender, they protect well, but take alot of resources.
