How can errors be checked?

Monitor turns to solid color, checked the event viewer log and these are the errors shown?

  http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh994433.aspx 0x00000116 VIDEO_TDR_ERROR http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff557263.aspx this should explain the situation pretty well. but what do do about this parcticular one... image is SO unreadable. 1. use PNG format for screen captures, not JPEG. 2. copy and paste the data from event viewer details into yahoo answers. sounds to me like only 1 error you listed, not 3 given what info I could get. the network card thing should not have happened. it's more likely an IP address conflict or maybe someone is spoofing your NIC's mac address(unlikely?). an IP address conflict can be caused by having static IP clients in your DHCP range, which is A Bad Idea, or 2 static IP's using the same address, or possibly (?) rebooting the router without reconnecting your clients. a reconnect isn't always automatic when a router has been rebooted, especially with wifi.
