  It's possible you damaged the battery. You should never allow rechargeable batteries to drain down to zero ... that's is the main cause of most problems people have with batteries. What you should have done was charge it up first before storing it. Since the Tab 3 was released last year, it's no longer under warranty. The only thing you can try is to keep it plugged in into a wall outlet (not computer) for a couple of days to see if it charges up at all... if not, then you would probably have to buy a new device since it wouldn't be worth it to have the battery replaced at a shop...
