How to remove the attached source which was added to a Jar?

When we compile a Java source to a Jar file, do all the Libraries go in to that Jar file? ALL?

  • There are lots pre-built libraries, do they all go? If so isn't the jar file gonna be huge

  • Answer:

That's why we *import* packages we need, so Java doesn't have to put all classes in there, just the needed ones. In addition, especially for deployment, it's always better to explicitly import classes instead of using import java.net.* (which will import all direct child classes)
