Honeymoon to Orlando in September, need some advices!?

Believe me, there is NOTHING in Orlando worth looking at except WDW and Universal or the Fish Show at the other place. That is it. No city parks, no real nightlife, not even a museum. The city tried to avoid other places getting started to give competition to the cash cow WDW. They killed an interesting downtown New Orleans themed area in two years, for example. Go over to New Smyrna or Cocoa Beach, get a cheap motel and enjoy the beach. The ocean is more interesting than even a swimming pool. Beach is what Fla has to offer. I sure am glad I am not going to marry you, hee hee.

Weather in September will be hot and humid - and of course the chance of hurricanes, since it's peak season for that. Not much to do in Orlando unless you're going to the theme parks. No reason to stay on I-Drive unless you're going to WDW. I've read that the city of Orlando isn't great and some parts aren't safe - don't know whether that's true. You could go over to TripAdvisor.com and browse their forum on Orlando. You can also look for hotels there. Generally, you'd want a car in Orlando. But you could check to see whether there's mass transit and if so go to their website for info.

1) September is the peak of Hurricane season, but the summertime thunderstorms are pretty much over. 2) No hotels with romantic views on I drive, but the north end of I drive is closer to downtown Orlando. 3) rent a car its easier to get around, but you can always use the SunRail if you just want to go into the city.
