You forgot the Franklin Avenue Shuttle (S) which also has only one person working on the train.

On NYC Subways except 42nd St Shuttle and (G) trains, there is Train Engineer/Operator and Conductors. On 42nd St Shuttle and (G) train, there are two train engineers who also does conductor. On Franklin Av Shuttle, Weekend (L) train, Late Night (5) Shuttle Dyre Av-E. 180th St, only one train engineers operating. It depends on subway fleets and directions of subway lines at station platform are clearly marked to indicate which direction. Also depends on subway fleets, train destination are not marked in front, but to side of trains. From 7th Av-53rd St, take downtown (E) train to world Trade Center and new technology trains makes "This is World Trade Center-bound (E) train."

When the train reverses direction the same or a new operator will take the position at the opposite end of the train, except for the few times that the train goes around a loop to reverse, like the #6 after Brooklyn Bridge.
