There is always something to browse around in Woodstock, but it is an art-gallery, wind-chime store, gift-shop kinda place. If you mean Bethel, where the original concert was held - then that is MILES away in Sullivan County - no fast roads to get there, either. Give us ore info about your plans - we can give better advice. And - wear decent covered shoes - we have ticks that carry Lyme disease, mosquitoes, etc. - you will need bug repellent. Staying in Woodstock, or Kingston, or what? Cool things to see down on the waterfront in Kingston, too - lighthouses there and in Saugerties - read up on the area.
