Fun places to go that's cheap when you're bored? in California Los Angeles?

  Cheap means walking around. I go to the local neighborhoods and explore. Malibu Downtown LA Westwood / UCLA West LA Santa Monica Hollywood Beverly Hills Mulholland Drive Glendale Pasadena Monrovia Rancho Cucamonga Ventura Santa Barbara Any place along the shore (Venice Beach to Long Beach). Then, any point south. There are 3 / 4 lighouses along the coast. Some have special visiting hours. There are 3 / 4 missons and submissions in the area. These are low cost. There are several parks and state parks in the area. Lake Balboa is free The Japanese Garden costs $3. Betty B Dearing Trail / Fryman Road is free. Free parking is limited, you may have to pay $3. This will take you above LA. Malibu Creek State Park ($20?) has appeared in several TV shows and movies. A 2 mile hike will take you out to the MASH site. The following are "free" except for parking: Getty Museum Getty Villa Universal City Walk Downtown Disney I would stay out of Van Nuys.
