Is it safer to live just east of the strip or just west of the strip?

I'm looking to move to Vegas, and I was looking at these apartments just west of the strip close to Flamingo and Decatur. Is it safe there?

Flamingo and Decatur is fine but I would avoid west of Orleans Go further west on Flamingo or Sahara, west of Rainbow
