I don't know prices in UK. If I were you , I'd probably check prices first before I decide on how much I should bring. Since u have no idea how much prices are In UK , why don't u consult a expert in finance.

The English pound sterling is strong in comparison to the U.S. dollar, so I'd look up a current exchange rate. Really I'd have a couple thousand...especially for 6 months.
