Yes it is. It is illegal in Germany.

Most countries in Europe to not have the same free speech rights as in the U.S. and there are limits on offensive speech, and I can't think of anything more offensive than a swastika. In Asia, it is not a swastika, but a Sanskrit word, suastika "su" ("auspicious") combined with "asti" (meaning "being.") It is thought Hitler appropriated the Buddhist symbol because of his fascination with the occult. Westerners react differently to that symbol. In Germany it is illegal to even posses one, while in the U.S. there is still a national Nazi political party with tens of thousands of members that proudly wear them. It helps the rest of us more easily identify who the ******* are.

It's not a great idea because of what it represents. Only extremist nazis use it... Which still exist in small numbers. I'd probably avoid having one... And if your asking maybe your considering it... So be careful, Britain, France and very much Germany you could end up in a lot of trouble. I'm British and my friends and I would certainly take a long look at you

Some people tattoo that symbol to their head. Maybe you should too.
