Is it cheaper to take MTR from Hong Kong airport to Kowloon station follow by taxi to Crown Plaza KOwloon East or direct tsxi from airport t?

    It's much cheaper and less hasles in changing trains or taxis to simply hop onto the Airport Shuttle bus. Shuttle bus fare is around HK$40, Airport MTR (subway) is around HK$150 while taxis from the Airport to your hotel probably around HK$200+. You either need to pay exact fare or an Octopus Card for bus/MTR fares. You could first buy an Octopus Card at the Airport's MTR Customer Service Counter.

While a taxi would be faster it could be more expensive. Crowne Plaza Kowloon East is in the district of Tseung Kwan O. You can take the airport express from the airport to Central; get on the Island MTR line to Quarry Bay; get on to the Tsueng Kwan O line to arrive at Tsueng Kwan O. Then take a taxi from there. However, this route is about 2 hours long. A taxi would be less than an hour.
