    I'd veer away from that recommendation. You can get boards just as good for way less. Loaded is hype and good advertisement. Although I do ride on orangatang wheels (which I understand is owned/made by loaded) you could go with something from landyachtz, Arbor has very good cruiser boards at good prices, also there are bustin boards. I'd suggest either a mini or something around 33 inches. Trust me they can be unwieldy to walk through the halls and find a place in class for. I hope it helps. I'm a fan of minis like the Arbor Sizzler Bustin Dime or Landyachtz dingy. On the bigger side there's the modella (bustin) or the peacemaker 32 from landyachtz which bridges the gap between longboarding and skateboarding. Also penny's are nice. Sorry I got jumbles up here at the end.

I'm going to start out with Loaded boards are extremely overpriced. Especially if you just want a campus cruiser. I'd recommend something more along the lines of a Sector 9. That is if you truly intend on it to be a cruiser only. If you want to learn to freeride down hills, then I would not say a sector 9. Length is purely personal preference. Something in the 36 to 42 range would be nice. Not too small, not too big. Although I said a good range is 36 to 42 inches... I am going to recommend a board that is shorter. The Landyachtz Peacemaker 32". Makes cruising fun. You have a tail that you can mess around and do manuals, or even learn flip tricks if you wanted to. It is your do it all board. Capable of downhill, freeride, cruising, carving. And carrying a shorter board to class would be an added perk. That board is made of maple. If you were looking for bamboo (like a loaded), I don't have much guidance. As I hate bamboo boards. I like to be one with my board. Not bounce around.
