  Swimming pool cleaning is generally easy, but if you want to do it the right way then you have to give a bit more effort that what you usually do. 1. Checking PH Balance Water balance is very important as it helps sanitizing chemicals like chlorine and bromine to perform effectively on your swimming pool -- decreasing water problems like algae growth which can cause health hazard. A pool's ph balance should be checked regularly. The proper PH balance range from 7.2 and 7.8ph. You should remember that acid ingredients should be added to water and not the other way around. 2. Well maintained Filters It's suggested to clean your pool filters once every 4 or 6 months, but it depends on the condition of your pool and the how drastic the weather is/was. To make sure that you don't forget to clean your filters, schedule the cleaning the same day or the day after your dental check-up which happens to also be once or twice a year-- same as the advised times of cleaning for pool filters. TIP: Using a rubber trash can, soak dirty filters in a 10% solution of muriatic acid or a solution of TSP (trisodium phosphate). Don't forget to wear some hand and eye protections. Like PH balance maintenance always make sure to add acid to water and not the reverse. After that rinse until clean and dry. Put your supplies away until your next swap-out. 3. NO FOOD or BEVERAGE near or on the Pool Anything that decomposes such as food are food for the algae. Again, algae can cause sickness to the swimmers. 4.
