The easiest answer would be just to say, "Follow your heart," but in reality, it sounds like you have some confusion concerning this issue. I have a suggestion for you. There is a book out there called, "Strength Finders," by Tom Rath. The book comes with a questionnaire that helps someone discover their strengths and passions. The people that are happiest in life are those that can make a living following their passions. I know the book really gave some focus to my own life. Just a thought and good luck.
