What is a good trustworthy organization I could donate money to, to help people in other countries?

Wow, and what's wrong with helping kids, families and the elderly at home? Meals on wheels, habitat for humanity, free tutoring at schools, the food banks, homeless shelters. If you give your time and money close to home you can actually see for yourself how much it helps. 99% of anything mailed overseas is a complete scam. Even the redcross refuses to donate cash to other countries. They show up and do the work themselves to make sure the people are helped, not the greedy leaders... Donate your time and money close to home. Make a difference in your community. You'll be happy ya did.
