    Not really. You could use some of those views to transition into a new society. Look at the U.S., you have the West, Midwest, and North East regions. The South still wants to keep their traditions and it works. No idea if anyone who disagrees with their traditions wants those traditions still; but then again, all that means is to not live there. Not every will agree with the progression though, as we see in the U.S. today. Always go with the majority.
