Army The PFA for Army entry consists of push-ups, sit-ups and a shuttle run. Male requirement: 15 Push-ups, 45 Sit-ups, 7.5 Shuttle run score Female requirement: 8 Push-ups, 45 Sit-ups, 7.5 Shuttle run score For Special Forces Direct Recruiting Scheme (SFDRS) candidates, the PFA standards are: Male requirement: 30 Push-ups, 60 Sit-ups, 10.1 Shuttle run score its all pretty easy, i am a scrawny ass 14 year old boy and i can do 11 push ups far more than 60 sit ups and have a 10.1 shuttle run score.

The PFA is only used before and shortly after starting recruit training as a means of screening out people likely to injure themselves. The fitness standards in the wider Army are much higher, especially if you want to be an infantryman. The BFA (Basic Fitness Assessment) for a male under 25 consists of: - 40 pushups - 70 situps - 2.4km run in under 11 minutes 18 seconds Realistically, you'll want to be aiming for at least 60 pushups, the full 100 situps, and finishing the run in under 10 minutes. Aim well above the minimums before you join; Kapooka is not going to make you fit.
