How is the life of a mechanical engineer in the Indian army?

Life after as US Army combat engineer?

  • What jobs can you do after life in the military? Do the US Army help pay for college expense if i decide to go for a Engineering degree ?

  • Answer:

After life in the military, you can do pretty much anything you like. As a general rule, you will not find it possible to go directly into a civilian occupation without some training. That is the reason why the GI Bill exists to help you get a degree. Some employers like to hire veterans and give them preference in hiring. They are not at all fussy about what you did in the service or which branch you served in, just that you served Honorably. This is especially true of Law Enforcement. I was an Air Force Medic who became a Police Officer after leaving the service.

Well, if you've already been in the military then you will know about the GI Bill, but if you're contemplating whether they will pay for it or not before you join, you can do all the classes for free while you're serving and then your GI Bill will become your money. My husband and I are both in the military with many military friends who have gotten degrees. We are newer and are waiting for fall to start school but I've looked into it deeply.
