  The requirements are you must be a naturally born United States citizen with a clear background check. Some CIA agents are former military operatives that show good behavior and taking orders down the chain of command. The most important thing to become a CIA agent is a clean record, clear through grade school, if you steal a pack of gum at a gas station they will know about it. The next thing they look at is your family background and see if you being a CIA agent would promote or aid an illegla operation of one of your family members. Obviously being in good health is a plus, marksmanship, loyalty, determination and if you have field experience as a cop, sherif, FBI agent your superior may recommend you for a CIA promotion if the CIA were to look in the bureau for agents. The CIA is something that is very secretive and you may be forbidden to share certain information with your wife or children for YEARS. It's a commitment and there is a lot of traveling. Sometimes as operating directly under the government orders are given that a little extenuating. I remember reading an autobiography of a former agent saying his first mission was to find/setup the assassination of a foreign dictator. That involved putting an innocent man in prison for a crime he didn't commit. Sometimes they would pay them in advance and let them live their life for 6-12 months before that individual would be thrown in jail/tortured/killed. The CIA can do some dirty things and it's very different from what you see on Tv shows. I'm talking NASTY things like hiding up the slaughtering of children from an accidental bomb from a spy drone plane.
