Is There a Word or Phrase for X?: Is there a shorthand way to say "I have lost interest in what I am writing and don't care to write anymore?
-
What abbreviation or phrase so I use before just dropping the communication as is? Kind of like TL:DR means "too long, did not read"... Sometimes I am writing something, it gets long, especially when I am ranty, and I know the person reading it will not have any framework or motivation to care what I am writing and so I think: "I should just wrap it up... I am wasting my time.." but what I wrote might still have value so I don't want to delete it.. but I wish to end my pointless writing activity. How can I say that in a shorter way?

There's no commonly accepted abbreviation, but it takes just a few seconds to write: "I've lost interest in this and won't finish it."

Hit the "exit" or "cancel" or "delete draft" button. If you don't care enough to wrap it up, your goal is clearly venting instead of communicating, and the best course of action is to cut your losses as soon as you lose interest. It's not a good practice to spew bile into the world without a damn good reason. At the very least, identify when you went into rant mode and pare back to the last decent stopping point. If brevity is the soul of wit, what is it when your work isn't even worth finishing?

Write a prequel to what you wrote before and entitle it "The Phantom Menace."

Try "bored." The Idiot Program won't let me post a single word reply. There's a couple other 1 worders that were collapsed that were pretty good.
