among other issues, you are making an assumption that every person has an equal need for health care. $2000 won't pay for 2 weeks of hospitalization for a baby born premature or with a defect needing surgery. the whole idea of Obamacare is to end the practice of not providing health care insurance to people once they have a catastrophic condition needing treatment. so your idea of "equality" is everyone gets a heart surgery whether they have a heart attack or don't?. everyone gets treated for athletes foot or nobody gets treated? what happened to needs based benefit?
