Why is the state with the highest minimum wage also adding jobs faster than any other state?

Sorry but seeing as I have lived in the state of Washington all my life I know those "facts" are incorrect. The new pay hike in SeaTac has caused the people to lose hours and are now paying more in every thing that is going on. Like rent, food, and gas. The unemployment in this state is getting worse because of the pay in the smaller stores and business because of this hour wage. I went from 32 hours average a week to 20-23 hours a week because of it.

and the average educational level attained by workers in Washington is where, relative to that of other states?? you are conflating two indicators which may well be caused by the came underlying thing and have little or nothing to do with the outcome you apparently want. Which is why you should leave economics to professionals and go back to staying out of the rain

You are deluding yourself. Look at North Dakota. Normally minimum wage jobs are paying $17 per hour or more. Who would want to work for $9 when you can get almost twice as much. Unemployment in ND is under 3%. Clearly it shows the law of supply and demand at work.

Of course this ignores the fact that Washington and California have the highest costs of living in the country as a result. You know proving what Republicans say will happen when you raise the minimum wage.
