  • Answer:

No. I have used hydrogen peroxide and neosporin forever because I'm so clumsy haha. Seriously I was the biggest tomboy as a child and I was constantly getting cuts, bruises, things broken so I've had to deal with a lot of treatments and I mean everywhere I've been hurt basically and I have not one scar. So the only way you would get a scar is if the cut gave you the scar- it would not be from the treatment P.s. I never heard of that before

No, but I wouldn't use it again as it does burn tissue. As Phil mentioned it can delay healing. It's also why you should avoid toothpaste with hydrogen peroxide it in, burns the gums. You want to keep the scratch moist. I like the suggestion of Neosporin. I use Aquapor.......which is like Vaseline.

Dilute with water in a teaspoon. rinse thoroughly and afterwards mix antibiotic oilment and olive oil and apply. Keep skin moisten as healing with olive oil pure virgin and it should heal well. apply with q tip lightly and remember to talk to your scar and tell it to heal gently. I talk to my body, because I appreciate what it does to help me get around. at one time I couldn't walk and I talked to my legs and told them thank you for getting me around earlier, and later after a couple months later I started walking on dec 23 . what a surprise for everyone. There is power in positive self talk. If we walk around scared about ourselves, nothing gets done and we alienate ourselves from appreciating who we are

Keep the cut clean and keep it covered with Neosporin and a band aid. In fact, plain Vaseline works, too. If you keep it moist, it's less likely to scar. Keep the ointment on it until it completely closes, even if it means walking around with a band aid on your face for a while. Also avoid allowing sun on your face for a while. Ultraviolet light can cause dark scars. Wear a sun screen for a few months.

Hydrogen peroxide does have the potential to cause damage to your skin, also note that it can actually delay the healing process by damaging white and red blood cells and the tissue around the cut.
