How do you get nail polish out of carpet?

How do I get nail polish off a carpet?

  • I got some nail polish on our carpeting. How do I clean it off? It's red nail polish on light tan carpet and it looks terrible!

  • Answer:

Obviously nail polish remover, soak up with kitchen towel after and then scrub with a carpet shapmoo. However if it does not work you could cut and glue a patch of carpet into the damaged area from a corner of the room that will not be noticeable.
