Does the Differin Acne Gel really work?

How long does Differin 0.3% gel take to work?

  • It's been 2 months and my skin is much worse than how I started with Differin! Now I'm getting acne scars once the pimple actually goes away and I'm trying my best not to ...show more

  • Answer:

I've used Cetaphil, Differin and Doxycycline before and they didn't work at all. I went to my Derm and she prescribed me Acutane because my acne was moderately severe. I took it for 5 months and now my face is almost clear (apart from bumps I get every time of month). Next month, tell your Derm that none of the medications they prescribed aren't working, and ask them about accutane. I believe that you're not too young to take it because the youngest I've heard was 13. Also, accutane only helps if you have hormonal acne. Like I did. Oh, and I almost forgot. My Derm said that it gets worse at first and then it gets better. I guess that applies to Differin and Doxycycline, but I don't know. So ask your Derm about this too.
