Will lingual braces work for an open bite situation?
-
The shape of my teeth is pretty normal but my dentist said that i have an open bite and i want to fix it... I don't really like the metal braces... Will the lingual ones work ?

Answer:
Almost nothing works permanently for an open bite. They are usually related to a subconscious habit like a mentalis or tongue thrust. they tend to open right back up gradually. Very few orthodontists do lingual braces. They are very hard to keep on.
