What year did the United States liquor/wine industry change to metric from gallons?
-
Answer:
It never used metric. We've always used imperial measurements, with the exception of wine and spirits, which are sold in .75 liters, 1.25 liters, and 1.75 liters. Wines and sparkling wines are also sold in larger bottles that are all even liter amounts (2, 6, 9, 12, 15).
