Is Indian food generally gluten free?

If I cannot eat gluten, will Indian food be a problem?

That will depend on how many varied dishes they serve. You could call ahead and ask what will be served and check ingredients on line. I'd imagine there will be some things you can eat if it's all veg.

You have to know the specifics. I'm sure some Indian food has gluten and some does not. Are you allergic or have Celiac's? I would let the people preparing the food know and ask for a list of ingredient's they'll be using in each dish. That why you'll know before hand what you can and cannot have and won't have to be a disruption the night of the dinner.

Indians don't worry or nitpick about such stuff. We just eat healthy wholesome food. And forget gluten, you should be more worried about groundnuts/ peanuts, if you are allergic.
