UC Berkeley vs UC Davis vs UC Irvine vs UC San Diego Need advice on which UC I should attend. My end goal is to attend Medical School.?

Davis alum and current med student here....I have to say that in terms of getting into medical school, all UCs are created equal. It's more about you enjoying your college experience, doing the degree you're most interested in (you'll get better grades if you're interested), your pursuit of extracurriculars that will show that you're committed to medicine and helping others (and some non-med ones to keep you interesting), and your dedication to getting into medicine. You can take all of the pre-reqs required for med school at any UC, and wherever you go there will be opportunities to shadow doctors, volunteer, and do other things that interest you. Pick one that's in a location you like, that offers non-med things you're interested in too....those things are equally important. Each of the UCs should offer (I know Davis does) a pre-health advising center, too, so you can make sure you're on track with everything you need to be doing. Seriously, go where you'll be happy, and pursue your dreams - as long as you put in the work, any of the UCs will get you into med school, and being happy with where you live and go to school will help you work harder to reach your goals.
