  • Answer:

To be honest, you're sort of all over the place. You won't need a college degree of any kind to be an employee of a company that remodels houses or to start your own painting business. Math skills? I think you are on the right track there. Study the algebra and do problems. Get it back in your head again. Trigonometry is the next step, but that can be a bit tricky to self-learn. However, believe it or not, trigonometry and other math skills can come in handy when it comes to doing house remodels. After trigonometry comes pre-calculus and then calculus. Interesting subjects, but again, no employer really needs someone who knows how to do calculus problems (for the most part). Becoming a doctor or lawyer requires years of schooling, and yes, it costs a small fortune. Sociology may be interesting, but there are not too many jobs in that field (unless you want to be a social worker at DSHS or something). Mexico? Sounds great. Watch out for the drug cartel gang wars though.
