  Are they fully accredited by the same bodies that accredit universities? Not being able to transfer credits could indicate that they are not. That would send up flags in my opinion. "For profit" is not necessarily a bad thing. Non-profit, foundation or state schools can also do a poor job because they get their money from other sources and are not responsible to the students directly. The key is the third party accreditation. That means an outside group has come in, examined their methods and quality and certified them. In any event, I would choose a school that has a current accreditation by a recognized body or bodies.
