    If you are still considered a dependent student for financial aid purposes then you will need parent information in order to get any form of need-based aid. If you use your information alone then you will only be offered unsubsidized stafford loans. You will not be offered any grants, workstudy or subsidized loans. Parent refusal to fill out the application is not grounds for a dependency override. Why is your mother refusing to help?
