Should I double major in Political Science and English?

  Even both will not help much. And I am sorry but most professionals have a degree oriented towards their profession. It is only the lower paid jobs where they do not care what degree you have as long as you have a degree. Office workers usually have degrees in the business related fields these days. Liberal arts majors do not know enough about the business world these days and unless they did a lot of self study they are not considered for office work. The one place where liberal arts majors do well is in sales. But that depends more on your personality than your major. And I do not mean in a retail store. Our sales guys all make over $100K a year working on commission selling products to retailers.
