Is getting your bachelors degree hard after your associates?

I am getting an associates degree in vet tech but I want to receive a bachelors degree. How do I go about doing this?

  How you go about getting a bachelors degree is going to depend on exactly the type of jobs you want to get later on and how long you are willing to spend in school. You need to do a bit of research and find out what type of degrees are typically required for the type of position you want to ultimately have. Then select your courses and degree plans to meet those requirements. If you are going to go for a bachelors degree in a different field, you will likely have to start all over again (except for your general education courses). In general, the vast majority of credits from an associates degree in veterinary technology are not going to transfer towards any other degree than a bachelors degree in veterinary technology. Some VT programs do have agreements with other schools to transfer credits towards animal science programs, but these agreements aren't common. Some AVMA accredited veterinary technology programs also aren't approved by accrediting boards for educational institutions and their credits are unlikely to transfer towards any other degree, including a bachelors degree in veterinary technology. If you want a bachelors in veterinary technology, then you need to earn your AS from an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program that is offered through a regionally (or possibly nationally) approved educational institution. It is also always advisable to contact the college you plan to earn your advanced degree from and ensure that they will accept credits from your AS program.
