Like RP says, put it in writing to the LL (he knows that this could hold him responsible in court). He's allowed a 'reasonable' amount of time to get it fixed. If he does not, then in some states you can inform the landlord in writing that since he has not repaired the problems to date, you will hire a plumber yourself and subtract the cost from your next month's rent. But google your state's tenant landlord laws to make sure that this procedure is the law in your state--state laws vary.
